Breaking the circle! Food for pygmies.

We are about to launch our new campaign to raise the funds needed to buy land on Idjwi, agricultural tools, seeds, and set up a training programme for the pygmies so they can grow their own food. These indigenous people were driven from their land and denied their rights. They are not permitted to own land, they have almost no income, they cannot buy enough food, they suffer malnutrition and disease, they become weak, and cannot work to earn money for food. It is a vicious circle. With this project we aim to break that circle, and provide the land for them to grow their own food.
